We seek simplicity and equality in our lives.

This is one aspect of our faith that the Indonesians find puzzling and foreign - the idea that one would want to live simply.

So, in the case of natural disasters in areas where we work, we provide relief in small amounts in remote areas that no one else has reached through friends who have concern for the people there.

Nails and Cement were provided for forty houses after palm planting caused floods and erosion in Langkat, North Sumatra.

Training for Conflict Refugees living in the international bio-reserve was provided on homemade compost and insecticide for small farmers in that area.

Artists in Jogjakarta were paid after the 2006 earthquake to perform, a gathering that brought together and inspired the community.

Micro-lending to Alternatives to Violence facilitators was given to stabilize family incomes so they can volunteer to facilitate community workshops.
